All Lumoava jewelry is designed and crafted in Finland, at the northernmost jewelry manufactory in the world. Each piece is handcrafted with over 80 years of heritage. By keeping production in our own hands, we can stand behind every creation with honesty, transparency, and pride.
Our commitment to sustainability
Silver and gold are materials with the unique ability to carry stories from one generation to the next. For us, sustainability means that true value stands the test of time. A fine piece of jewelry is not a fleeting delight; it is a promise that endures and lives on through decades.
All our gold jewelry is made from 100% recycled gold, and our sterling silver pieces are also crafted entirely from recycled materials. We strive to utilize every last particle of precious metal: even the fine dust produced during the crafting process is carefully collected, refined, and reused. This deep respect for our materials is present in every step of our process.
The components we do not manufacture ourselves, such as clasps and posts, are sourced from carefully selected Finnish and European suppliers.
We source our diamonds directly from selected partners and require verified information on their origin, traceability, and compliance with our responsibility standards. Our natural diamonds comply with the Kimberley Process and applicable EU and G7 sanctions.
We also offer laboratory-grown diamonds as an alternative. They have the same physical and chemical properties as natural diamonds and provide an additional option when choosing a piece of jewelry that reflects your values.
For our pearl jewelry, we use Akoya pearls grown in the sea, known for their exceptional luster and timeless beauty.
Each pearl forms inside an oyster over time – often over many months or even years – and its quality is directly influenced by the conditions of the marine environment.
The cultivation of Akoya pearls is a careful process, where typically only one pearl is grown per oyster, making each pearl unique.
We select pearls that stand the test of time, both in quality and appearance – just like our jewelry.
As a manufacturer, we are committed to operating with the smallest possible environmental footprint. We recycle all auxiliary materials, from packaging to everyday essentials. All chemicals used in production are sent for certified professional processing. Our facility utilizes a closed-loop water system, a sealed cooling circuit, and advanced heat recovery in our ventilation.
Our jewelry carries the Key Flag Symbol, a prestigious mark which signifies that our products are manufactured in Finland, meeting high standards of quality, transparency, and Finnish craftsmanship.
